I Found Myself Pregnant After Becoming An Omega 22.2
Chapter 22: You Were A Rare Case (2/2)
Turning his head, the young man glanced at Ji Yu with a smile.
‘Poor little wench?’
Being call by
this name made Ji Yu even more confused.
Looking at the young man, Ji Yu
thought that his inability to distinguish secondary genders was getting worse.
Aside from the obvious Alphas, he was incapable of distinguishing the other
genders.
After all, in this world, who knows
what’s hidden inside a person’s pants. Maybe underneath a girl’s skirt is
something even bigger than his. Or maybe inside a man’s pants are cavities with
a whole set of reproductive organs, gestational sacs and all.
Although most betas are average in appearance, there are many
good-looking ones.
And this guy in front of him looks pretty good.
The young man was not too thin, but
also not too muscular either. He has a slender body and a handsome face. Dressed
in a shirt and jeans, he looks clean and fresh, like a college student who has
just graduated, though his every move is filled with arrogance and extravagance.
Obviously, he is
the son of a rich family.
The question is: Is he a Beta or an
Omega?
After listening to his words, Ji Yu
felt that the young man might be a love rival of the original Ji Yu. However,
the sarcastic usage of the word ‘poor’ may expresses both ridicule and
intimacy, so perhaps this person might have been a friend of the original Ji
Yu, and was abandoned when the original Ji Yu went chasing after He Zhou?
“Wuuyaa.” Little Yu Zhou suddenly reached out to grab Ji Yu’s
neck. His little brows frowned, and he did not looked very happy.
Ji Yu’s attention was immediately diverted, “Is it uncomfortable?”
The young man looked at Little Yu Zhou, “He has gotten so big. You’ve
raised him well.”
Does he know Little Yu Zhou?
Ji Yu hugged Little Yu Zhou tighter,
letting the child’s head rest on his shoulder, and said, “I have something to
do today. Let’s talk later.”
“Alright.”
Ji Yu walked directly towards the
direction of the cab, and asked in a loud voice, “How’s the discussion going?
Can we leave now? If not, I’ll just call another cab.”
The cab driver was about to speak when
the tall man took the lead, “It’s done.”
He opened the car door and smiled
brightly, “My name is Fei Qiu. We’re from the same school. You can just take my
car, I’ll take you to the hospital.”
Although the tall
man felt familiar, Ji Yu still declined, “I wouldn’t want to trouble you. I’ll
just take the cab.”
Fei Qiu was still
enthusiastic, “It’s really fine, no trouble at all.”
Ji Yu: …
Ji Yu: “Do you even have a driver’s
license?”
Fei Qiu quickly
understood, he shyly scratches his head, “This time was really my fault. Let’s
add each other on WeChat. I’ll reimburse you for your medical expenses.”
Seeing Fei Qiu’s good attitude, Ji Yu’s anger from the accident before quickly disappeared.
The two exchanged WeChat, then Ji Yu
loaded Little Yu Zhou onto the cab and left.
“Is his relationship with He Zhou so good?”
After getting into the car, Fei Qiu
heard the young man asked such a question.
Fei Qiu paused, not knowing how to
answer.
He wasn’t sure what exactly He Zhou
was thinking, but from the details of recent development, it appears that the
relationship between He Zhou and Ji Yu showed signs of reconciliation.
Ji Yu helped washed He Zhou’s clothes,
and He Zhou went to the Teacher’s Office to help defend Ji Yu. Would they have
done these things if their relationship wasn’t good?
Nevertheless, Fei Qiu couldn’t say
these things aloud, so he just spoke vaguely, “I don’t know either.”
Xie Qi chuckled, “Don’t
lie to me. Ji Yu has He Zhou’s clothes on, can their relationship be that bad?”
“Clothes?” Fei Qiu was stunned.
“Yeah. That white shirt he has on is a limited V Brand shirt, only
100 are produced in the world.” Xie Qi snorted, his eyes full of ridicule.
Fei Qiu laughed
dryly: “You can recognize something like that? I can’t tell at all. It just
looked like a regular white shirt to me.”
Xie Qi looked out
the window and said with a light tone, “I gave He Zhou that shirt. There is a
code on the collar, which is the number 76.”
Fei Qiu stopped
laughing.
No. 76
July 6th
He Zhou’s birthday.
—
Ji Yu didn't know the origin of the
clothes on his body, only that it belonged to He Zhou.
The shirt is very
large, with hems dragging all the way to his knees, and resembles more of an
oversized jacket than a shirt. However, the fabric is very silky, and it was
very light on the body. 6
It can block out the sun, and make
Little Yu Zhou comfortable, so Ji Yu wears it.
Getting out of the car, Ji Yu took
Little Yu Zhou inside the Children’s Hospital.
They had left early in the morning, so
even if they were delayed on the road, they arrived just in time, and did not
missed their appointment. After a short ten minutes wait, it was their turn.
Ji Yu sat down with Little Yu Zhou in
his arms, and begin explaining Little Yu Zhou’s condition.
The doctor who
was treating them was a older man who, after looking at Ji Yu and the child in
his arms, suddenly remembered something, “Oh, it’s you.”
Ji Yu: “…..”
Wasn’t the original Ji Yu some unpopular
loner? How come everyone seem to recognize him today?
The doctor carried Little Yu Zhou onto
a bed and began examining him, “I was wearing a mask at that time so you might
not remember me, but I was the one who delivered this child.”
As he spoke, he
rubbed Little Yu Zhou’s belly lovingly and coaxed, "Little treasure, do
you still remember this old man?" 7
Little Yu Zhou wasn’t afraid, and
started laughing.
Looking at the intimate interaction between the doctor and Little
Yu Zhou, the gears inside Ji Yu’s mind begin to turn.
After spending some time organizing
his words, Ji Yu spoke, “Can I ask something? The things discuss between doctor
and patient is confidential, right?”
“Naturally.”
Ji Yu licked his lips: “You know, this might just be my postpartum pregnancy
brain, but thinking back on my own pregnancy, um… it just felt unreal somehow.
I just want to ask if this child—" 8
He leans in and his voice became a whisper,
“Is it really a five-month pregnancy?”
“Yes, this child was born in only five months.”
Ji Yu was stunned, “How could I
give birth in five months?”
The doctor wondered: "Did none of
the other doctors told you?"
Ji Yu shook his head.
The doctor: "That may be because
they are too reluctant to tell you."
Ji Yu was starting to get a little
anxious, but he tried not to show it: "Then can you tell me?"
The doctor nodded: “Of course I can.
You should know more about your own body, though I didn’t expect the others to
hide it from you.”
“Your situation is very rare. You were originally pregnant with
twins. However, during labor, only one child was born. At that time, according
to our judgement, we concluded that it was a case of—"
“Survival of the fittest.” 9

Lyrus: Yes, you saw that right, it's an update! Honestly, the scene of the wife and child standing by the side of the road with the 'former fiancé' was so extra, I love it lol.
Thanks for reading.
Is there another one in there? 🤔
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the update! This made my day!
ReplyDeleteOh oh oh oòaky interesting
ReplyDeleteSo that's why the child didn't have the dna of He Zhou. I read sometime ago that when the baby eat/absorbed the other twin they will have the dna of that twin and not the father.
