The corners of Ji Yu’s lips rose unconsciously, and his heart seemed to be filled with something warm.

2- 全年级统一的考试: literally means ‘the annual exam that the entire grade takes.’ Similar to that of  our standardize testing.

3- 爽！彻！心！扉！: lit. thoroughly heart cleansing (very refreshing). The author punctuated after every character to express emphasis (Clear! Thorough! Heart! Door!). Replaced with English equivalent.

4- 牛死 (dead bull): refers to an unyielding/stubborn personally (I think). In English, a horse is typically representative of unyieldingness. 

5- 大快人心: lit. ‘great joy in man’s heart’. Refers to when a bad guy is punished, and satisfaction from a sense of justice.

6- 你牛 (you ox): Lit. calling somebody an ox. Supposedly a slang (sarcastic?) to praise someone for being awesome/strong, “strong as an ox” or something like that.
