Lucky Fish 84
Chapter 84: Finally Admitted
Nonetheless, even though Yu Jin Li tried to slow down, his
familiarity of the heart-shaped grass and his extreme efficiency in the
crafting process meant that production time could only be extended to twenty
minutes, which is already twice as long as normal.
Yu Jin Li was quite satisfied with this.
He felt that he had met Ah Sheng’s requirement, though he didn’t
realize that his ‘slowed down’ speed was still enough for people to feel amaze.
“…He’s done?” Xu Ling looked at the radiant energy card in Yu Jin
Li’s hand in complete disbelief.
"Impossible!" Li Yiyi's eyes widened, staring at the
scene, also unwilling to believe this fact.
Although Ruan Ming Ji appeared calm on the surface, his eyes
betrayed him, flashing with a faint trace of excitement.
There are not many people who can
actually craft a complete energy card, let alone an adolescent who had just
came of age. Furthermore, his exceptional speed and extraordinary success on
his very first try attest to his potential and talents as a card craftsman.
At this moment, Ruan Ming Ji finally understands why Master Kamon
personally wrote a letter of recommendation for this boy.
It’s a pity that this young man’s mental power is only D-level.
Had he possessed A-level mental power, he would surely become the next top tier
A-level craftsman in no time at all.
When thinking of Yu Jin Li’s mental power, everyone sighed with
pity.
“Haha. As expected of our young hero, to have such good vision,
capable of picking out such a young and talented card craftsman.” Xiao Guo Tai
laughed and teased Jiang Mo Sheng.
Others may not know about the relationship between Yu Jin Li and
Jiang Mo Sheng, but the old principal was very clear that this talented
teenager was already snatched up by the Jiang family. Not bad, really good!
“Naturally.” Jiang Mo Sheng responded in a rare proud tone full of
pride that even he did not noticed.
Xiao Guo Tai was a bit surprised when he heard this, but he was
more relieved.
"Ah Sheng, here it is." Yu Jin Li ran towards Jiang Mo Sheng
and then handed over the energy card he had just made.
Yu Jin Li has once said that all the energy cards he makes in the
future will be given to Jiang Mo Sheng, and he will always keep this promise.
Unexpectedly, the energy card handed to Jiang Mo Sheng was
suddenly snatched away by a hand that suddenly stretched out beside him. Yu Jin
Li looked at the "robber" who grabbed the card unhappily.
"Give it back to me, that's mine." Yu Jin Li said
angrily to Li Yiyi.
He didn’t like the woman in front of him at all.
From the first moment he came in, this woman had been displaying a
lot of malice. Her body was shrouded in a thin dark aura, indicating that she
had been suffering from bad luck as of late. Yu Jin Li did not want to come in contact
with her at all.
It’s better to stay away from people like this.
“This energy card was made from materials belonging to our
Academy. Of course, it is considered as our Academy’s property. How is it
yours?” Li Yiyi choked back a response in disdain. She carefully observed the
card in her hand, trying to find any flaws to use as an excuse to reject
applicant.
“You…” Yu Jin Li doesn’t know the rules of the school yet, and the
material for the energy card was indeed provided by the school. If he knew this
beforehand, he would have made it using his own blank cards.
Yu Jin Li took out an F-level blank energy card from his schoolbag,
and handed it to Xiao Guo Tai, "This is a blank energy card for you, the
one I made just now is mine.”
Yu Jin Li didn’t want to talk to the female teacher at all. He
knew that Xiao Guo Tai was the biggest person in the entire school, so he
directly made a deal with him.
Xiao Guo Tai looked at the blank energy card in front of him and at
the Yu Jin Li who was fuming, and suddenly thought that this young man was
quite interesting.
This young man was able to think about using his own blank
material to compensate and exchange for card he had just made. His brain was
quite fast.
However, Xiao Guo Tai did not accept the blank energy card, but
said with a gentle smile: "Since it was made by you, this energy card is
naturally yours and does not need compensation."
"Really?" Yu Jin Li's eyes lit up when he heard them
words. Since the boss of the school said so, it must be so.
"Principal..." Li Yiyi wanted to say something, but
stopped after receiving a serious and sharp gaze from the principal, and did
not dare to say anymore.
Although the Li family held great positions in the Federation,
Xiao Guo Tai’s position as the Principal of First Military Academy was highly
revered and respected, and simply cannot be underestimated.
Li Yiyi may be able to bully Xu Ling and Yu Jin Li, but she
doesn’t dare to confront the principal head on. She has no choice but to
reluctantly gave the energy card back to Yu Jin Li.
Yu Jin Li happily shoved the energy card into Jiang Mo Sheng's
arms, the small dimples on his face appears very cute.
"Since the assessment has passed, Dean Ruan, you can arrange his
classes." Xiao Guo Tai ordered.
"Alright." Ruan Ming Ji replied, secretly appreciating
Yu Jin Li’s ability in his heart. Even if the principal didn't instruct him, he
would have still arrange it anyway.
"Congratulations on joining the Card Crafter Major."
Ruan Ming Ji gave Yu Jin Li a smile.
"Thank you, teacher." Yu Jin Li obediently thanked the
Dean. He was very, very happy to learn that he was really able to come to
school.
"Xu Ling, take him to your class." Ruan Ming Ji
instructed.
"Yes, Dean." Xu Ling replied with a smile.
Inside First Military Academy’s College of Card Crafting there is
only one major, that is, to study on becoming a craftsman. All crafting
students are divided into five different classes, namely Class A, Class B,
Class C, Class D, and Class F.
The first four classes are all made up of students who are
admitted through the normal examination process. These students' mental power
is generally between A and B.
The last class, Class F, is reserved for the children of
aristocratic families that got in through their special privileges, and their
mental powers are all at level C.
Class F is precisely the class that is taught by Xu Ling, and the
one that Yu Jin Li is about to enter. In other words, it is the worst class in entire
College of Crafting.
Due to their low mental power and the fact that they came in
through the ‘backdoor’, Class F have always been called the "rubbish
class" by the rest of the College.
Yu Jin Li didn't know of these things. Of course, even if he knew,
he probably wouldn't take it to heart. After all, it was already a very happy
thing for him to be able to attend school.
Jiang Mo Sheng, on the other hand, knew about this. However, Class
F was the school's long-standing tradition, and can’t be change merely by the
use of special privileges. Whether it was his mental power level, or his
admission process, Yu Jin Li simply cannot escape from Class F.
However, Jiang Mo Sheng has confidence in Yu Jin Li, and, no
matter which class he is in, he will undoubtedly become the best.
“Student Yu, please come with me." Xu Ling smiled and looked
at Yu Jin Li.
When she first heard about a new
admission, Xu Ling came because she knew that a new member was going to be
added into her class.
Originally, Xu Ling did not have much hope for Yu Jin Li. After
all, even among aristocratic families, those who are truly capable and talented
have already been admitted through the formal examination process. Only those
who could not entered via the normal examination would need to seek out a spot
using their family’s special privilege.
In other words, the students in Class F were a group of rich
children who came to school every day to eat, drink, and earn credits.
What kind of achievement can they accomplish on their road of card
crafting?
Their families certainly don’t care, so long as they brought home
a diploma from the prestigious First Military Academy.
Therefore, when Xu Ling saw that Yu Jin Li’s mental power level
was only D, although she was surprised, it was within her expectations. It was
only during his testing process that her expectations were completely blown
away.
She couldn’t imagine that a student with only D-level mental power
would be able to make an actual energy card, and become a bona-fide card
craftsman.
Even Class A, which was supposed to be composed of the best
talents in the entire Academy, only has a handful of students who could call
themselves legitimate craftsman.
Even if Yu Jin Li's low mental power level limits his future
development, at least for now, his talents are comparable throughout the whole
school. Such a talented student is about to enter her Class F, how can Xu Ling not
be happy?
Finally, their Class F is about to
have a real craftsman. This mean that they will surpasses even Class D and
Class C, to become one of the three First Year classes who actually have a
craftsman!
“Ah Sheng?” Yu Jin Li turned to look at Jiang Mo Sheng.
"Go, I'll pick you up when school is over." Jiang Mo Sheng
gave the boy a smile.
"Yeah!" Yu Jin Li nodded his head vigorously, then
followed Xu Ling obediently to his new class.
After Yu Jin Li left the testing room, Jiang Mo Sheng, the
principal, and the Dean of Crafting also left. Li Yiyi, as if forgotten, was
left standing there with a look of resentment on her face.
“There are 20 students in our class, and their mental power level
is all basically C level. However, so far, none of them can actually make an energy card. So,
although your mental power is not high, your talent is very amazing. Don’t be
too hard on yourself, your achievements in the future may not be any worse than
any of the other classes.”
Xu Ling took the opportunity of introducing Yu Jin Li to Class F
to give him some encouragement. She had secretly decided to help train him well
in the future.
“Yes, I will.” Yu Jin Li replied with a smile.
Of course, he cannot be worst than other. After all, he was personally taught to craft magic talisman by his Master. Yu Jin Li proudly concludes in his heart that since the people in this world can’t even make a single talisman, he is much more powerful than them. Thus, when it comes to card crafting, he is brimming with self-confidence.
First Military Academy is comprised of many different separate
Colleges, each specializing in a different major, and spread out far from each
other over a large area.
Soon, Xu Ling brought Yu
Jin Li to the College of Card Crafting.
The College of Card Crafting, as the cradle of future craftsman,
plays a pivotal role in the First Military Academy. Naturally, it occupies the
best of location, being in the center, the heart, of the Academy. Its tall,
majestic buildings can be seen all around even at a distance.
“Our class is in the Northeast corner of the College, in a
separate building.” Xu Ling pointed out.
In order to make the full use of the College’s resources, the
classes are separated from each other, located in their own space, and provided
with their own practice labs. This prevents distractions and interferences, as well as malicious
rivalries between the classes.
While the College of Card Crafting occupies the best location in
the school, it in itself, is divided into many different areas with varying
advantages and disadvantages. The best class, Class A, naturally has the right
to choose the most favorable resources and positions, while Class F can only be
forced to squeeze into a corner.
As Yu Jin Li walked along, the architectures and sceneries that
Jiang Mo Sheng had described to him beforehand came to life, making
him sigh in excitement.
Back on Earth, even though Yu Jin Li had never passed the college
entrance exam, in order to satisfy his dream of going to college, his Senior
Brother took him on a tour of all the most famous universities and colleges
around the country.
He used to be so envious of the students that can attend those
colleges, but now he suddenly doesn’t feel that way anymore.
First Military Academy is worthy of being the number one
university in the entire Federation. The campus is absolutely massive, with
buildings that are all tall and majestic, as well as beautiful and serene
atmospheres that is conducive to a most enjoyable studying.
Yu Jin Li is proud to be a student at First Military Academy.
However, Yu Jin Li’s initial
excitement quickly cooled down when he thought about his Master and Senior
Brother.
He doesn’t know where they are now.
Would they be sad that he died?
He really wanted to tell his Senior Brother and Master that he
didn’t die, but, in fact, had came to a new world, and was living a good life
here.
He only hopes that they didn't feel sad because of him.
