I Found Myself Pregnant After Becoming An Omega 38
Chapter 38: Yearning For My Brother
He Family Mansion
When He Xiong was
walking back from the garden after his morning exercise, he heard the soft
cries of a child.
He frowned with
his hands behind his back, his expression had a trace of disgust.
Last night, He
Zhou brought home a child, saying that he had to help take care of the child
for a few days.
Normally, it such
a thing was not a problem. After all, their house had many empty rooms and
plenty of servants. Not to mention taking care of an extra child, even if it
were ten children, the He family could raise them all.
However, this
child actually belonged to Ji Yu!
When He Xiong
found out, he was so pissed off, he wanted to immediately beat up He Zhou.
If it weren't for
He Jiao and the servants desperately stopping him, he would have sent that
stinky boy He Zhou straight to the hospital bed, unable to move for the rest of
the holiday.
How could any men
be willing to raise the child of the person who cheated on them?
The more he
thought about it, the more He Xiong felt angry.
He walked towards
the dining room with a gloomy face, and just as he entered the door, he saw a figure
already at the table.
It was his
daughter, He Jiao.
Since it was the holiday, He Jiao had just
woken up.
Her long hair was loose, and she only
wore a headband. Her face was clean and without makeup.
She rested her chin on one hand and
scooped a spoonful of porridge with the other.
However, the porridge never made it to
her mouth.
In fact, her eyes never fell on the food at all.
They were all on that crying little imp!
"Ahem!" He Xiong took a big
step into the dining room.
He Jiao was startled, and looked away.
"Dad, good morning. Have you had breakfast?"
He Xiong: "Not yet. Let's eat
together."
He Jiao smiled:
"Okay."
He Xiong took his
seat, picked up a small mung bean cake with his chopsticks and took a bite.
After a while, He
Xiong had eaten two cakes, but he still didn't see any movement from He Jiao.
He raised his
sharp eyes and found that although his daughter lowered her head and seemed to
be eating breakfast seriously, her eyes had already moved to the side.
She was looking
at that crying little imp again.
He Xiong frowned,
put down his chopsticks, and looked towards the living room: "Why is he
still crying?"
The nanny,
standing next to the child, was so nervous that she was broke out in sweat.
She didn't know that one day she would be able to enter the general's mansion, and even saw the real general in the flesh.
However, while this opportunity was really exciting for ordinary people,
it also brought along a tremendous amount of pressure.
Hearing He Xiong's question, the nanny
was so frightened that she hurriedly bowed her body and replied, "Xiao Yu
Zhou misses his mother."
He Xiong frowned when he heard this, stopped
eating breakfast, stood up, and went to the living room.
He Jiao was taken aback for a moment:
"Dad?"
She also put down her chopsticks and
followed behind her father.
He Xiong stretched out his hand, took
Xiao Yu from the nanny’s arms, and lifted the child into the air.
Xiao Yu Zhou was taken aback by this
sudden change. He stopped crying, raised his face to look at He Xiong, and
blinked his big wet eyes twice.
"You are an Alpha, why are you
crying?"
"An Alpha must always stand
upright, and never cry!"
He Xiong had a straight face and a
serious voice.
He Jiao persuaded from the side:
"Dad, what does a child know? Let's just have breakfast and leave him
alone, alright?"
He Xiong still frowned, and said in a
stern tone: "It's too annoying to cry so early in the morning!"
Xiao Yu Zhou held his fingers in his
mouth and tilted his head: "Ah?"
He stopped crying, but his eyes were
still wet, and his eyelashes were clumps into strands, which made his eyes
darker and brighter. Coupled with the red face from crying and the wet tear marks
on his face, he was cute and pitiful.
The corners of He Xiong's eyes
twitched: "Ah what?"
Xiao Yu Zhou held his fingers in his
mouth for a while, then looked at He Xiong as if thinking of something, and
shouted: "Gra~"
After shouting, his little hands and
feet were raised together, and he shouted "gra" again.
He Xiong pursed his lips, and the
corners of his eyes twitched even faster.
He Jiao spoke
softly at the side: "Dad, he couldn't be calling you grandpa, could he?"
He Xiong said
coldly: "And what’s wrong with him calling me grandpa?"
He Jiao didn't
say anything, just looked at the little baby and sighed.
"What are
you sighing for?"
"If only it was really brother's child."
In the beginning,
He Jiao was full of expectations for the birth of little Yu Zhou.
For a while, she
had stopped all her extravagant shopping such as bags and cosmetics, and instead
bought a bunch of necessities for children. She would have bought more, but she
wanted to wait until the child was born to see what gender the child was before
continue splurging.
In the end, she
never had the chance to spoil the child.
He Xiong said:
"Don't say that ever again."
"I know."
Xiao Yu knew
nothing about the complex emotions of the two people in front of him.
He seemed to
think it was fun to be lifted high, and begin enjoying himself. He lifted his
two little feet up and down, and pushed his buttocks all around, shaking his arms
as if he wanted to perform gymnastics on He Xiong's hands.
He Xiong looked
at Xiao Yu for a while, and said to He Jiao: "You go to eat, I'll stay
here and talk to him. Even if he doesn’t understand now, he can still listen to
what I say. Children have to be educated from an early age."
He Jiao:
"...Oh."
Dad, as long as
you are happy.
He Jiao just turned around, when she
saw the butler walking in from the front door.
The butler stopped in front of He Xiong and reported.
"Ji Yuan Sheng, the head of the
Ji family, cordially invited Master and Young Miss to attend the opening
ceremony of SA Global Century Mall on October 3rd. If you agree, a special car will
come to pick you up in the morning."
As he spoke, the butler bent slightly and approached He Xiong's ear, lowering his voice to a whisper.
"Mr. Ji also said
that he knew that his grandson was a guest at our house, and to not bother with
the child too much. It seems that he plans to take the child away..."
—
Ji Mansion.
In the dining hall, the atmosphere is
quiet.
The dining table were full of many delicacies, but there was no sound of eating. Only Xue Zong's steady and gentle
voice rang out from time to time.
Xue Zong is reporting to Ji Yuan Sheng
on work-related matters.
The chopsticks in Ji Yu's hand had
long since stopped moving, and his attention was all on business.
This report was about the opening
ceremony of SA Global Century Mall on October 3rd.
SA Global Century Mall, one of Ji Yuan Sheng’s main real estate project, was completed a few months ago.
This new mall is considered as one of the largest shopping malls ever built in Long Cheng City, and even in the country.
Not only will Ji
Yuan Sheng be present at this opening ceremony, but so will all the most
powerful people in the Long Cheng City.
In addition,
several A-list celebrities has been invited to perform on the stage, causing
public opinions to be teeming with hype.
This is also one
of the reasons why Ji Yu came back.
If the
perpetrator threatening him is truly one of He Zhou's friends, then they are all from
Long Cheng City. There is a good chance they will either attends or watch this opening ceremony.
Ji Yu believed that the perpetrator
dared to threaten him either because they knew of his previous fallout with the
Ji family and thought that Ji Yu had been abandoned, or that
they didn't know about Ji Yu's real identity at all.
Thus, Ji Yu’s plan is actually very simple.
All he has to do is to show up at the opening ceremony, and stands next to Ji Yuan Sheng.
He wants to let the perpetrator hiding in the dark know that Ji Yu is
Ji Yuan Sheng's son, and Ji's family is Ji Yu's backer.
It's easy to bully Ji Yu, but to mess
with Ji Yuan Sheng?
Buddy, I advise you to think again.
While Ji Yu was busy scheming, Ji Yuan
Sheng suddenly raised his eyes and looked at Ji Yu, "You also come to the
SA opening ceremony on the 3rd."
Ji Yu nodded steadily:
"Okay."
It’s just what he wanted.
Ji Yuan Sheng then looked at He Zhou,
"I have invited your father and your family to attend. That morning, I
will let Xue Zong come to pick you up."
He Zhou didn't agree immediately, and just smiled:
"I see. I'll ask my father what he thinks when I get back."
Ji Yuan Sheng glanced at He Zhou and
said nothing more.
The meal starts quietly and ends
quietly.
Under the excuse of taking a walk to
help with digestion, Ji Yu quickly dragged He Zhou back out into the garden.
Finally, Ji Yu breathed a sigh of
relief.
Ji Yu asked, "When are you going
back?"
He Zhou casually unbuttoned his cuffs
and rolled them up: "You really want me to go?"
"Of course not, I feel a lot less
nervous with you here."
Ji Yu thought for a while, "I guess
part of it is my own fault. I really can’t think of these people as my family,
so I felt very restrained. I didn't eat anything just now. If this keeps up, I
might die of starvation."
He Zhou smiled: "Why don’t
you just eat and not care about what other people thinks?"
"I know, but I just can't control it. I've been like this
since I was a child. Whenever I go to other people's houses, I become super
reserved and polite. I can’t help it."
After speaking, Ji Yu looked into the distance, and found a little
path leading to a stable. Inside the stable were a few horses.
"There are horses?" There was a bit of surprise in his
tone.
He Zhou: "Do you want to ride?"
"Why are you even asking? What kind of man doesn't want to ride a
horse?"
Ji Yu's eyes sparkled, but he soon
calms down, "I just don't know if these horses can be ridden."
He Zhou pointed to the bright sun in
the sky: "What about the weather? It’s pretty hot for a ride."
Ji Yu’s eyes were still glued to the
horses: "Just ride a couple of laps. At most, we’ll just get a tan, it
doesn't matter."
He Zhou smiled: "Why don’t we go
to my house instead."
Ji Yu looked up: "Your house?"
He Zhou nodded: "My house is not
far from here."
He pointed in a certain direction,
"It's only fifteen minutes by car, shall we go?"
Ji Yu hesitated.
He Zhou glanced
at him, and said again: "It’s just a quick visit, and we can come back here
before dinner. Besides, Xiao Yu is currently at my place, don't you want to go
and see him?"
Ji Yu was very
moved: "Can we go just like this?"
"The
housekeeper will report it to Ji Yuan Sheng."
As he spoke, He
Zhou simply grabbed Ji Yu's wrist, and directly pulled him away.
"You came
back here to ‘visit’ your family. You are not a prisoner. No one is forcing you
to stay here, and you are free to go wherever you like."
He Zhou’s words
awakened Ji Yu: "You’re right."
Thinking about
it, Ji Yu realized that he had been too caught up in the Ji family’s affairs.
Originally, Ji Yu
had thought of his homecoming as an adventure.
He handed over Xiao Yu to He Zhou, make
all the necessary preparations, and then entered the Ji Mansion as if it was
some horror game dungeon.
Ji Yu had mentally prepared himself to
stay here for 3 to 4 days, during which time he could not leave. He would brace
the many dangers the Ji family throws at him, work hard to find clues, and
figure out the truth to solve the many questions he has.
However, in reality, Ji Mansion is not
a game.
And Ji Yu is actually free to leave.
The two notified the butler, and then
left Ji Mansion by car.
Through the window of the car, Ji Yu
watched the majestic and tall mansion gradually disappear.
After the Ji Mansion was no longer
visible, Ji Yu lazily sank into the seat, sighed, and raised his thumb to He
Zhou: "It's so comfortable being out of there. If only I can also go out
tomorrow."
He Zhou shrugged
his shoulders: "Of course."
Ji Yu smiled:
"Could it be that you plan to come 'visit' tomorrow as well?"
He Zhou raised
his eyebrows, and the corners of his lips curled up: "As long as you
want."
Heart pounding,
Ji Yu looked at He Zhou and blinked slowly.
After a while, he
turned his eyes away, looked out of the window again, and said vaguely,
"Let's talk about it tomorrow."
He Zhou took a
deep look at Ji Yu, and replied, "Yes."
The car was
quiet, and neither of them said anything.
Ji Yu lowered his
eyes and tapped his fingers on the window sill.
Although he has never been in a
relationship, he thinks that his emotional intelligence is not bad.
He Zhou’s actions of giving him information, helping to protect his child, and even coming to support him can all be called acts of brotherhood.
Of course, when He Zhou is in trouble, he will also be willing
to help.
But isn't the phrase "as long as
you want" too indulgent?
Is this what a brother would say?
Ji Yu reached out and touched the
glands on the back of his neck, it seemed a little hot.
Suddenly, images start to appear in
his mind: He Zhou's powerful canine teeth, He Zhou's broad chest, He Zhou's big...
Startled by a sound, He Zhou turned and looked sideway to find Ji Yu suddenly shaking his head and cursing something inexplicably.
Then Ji Yu took out an inhibitor injection from the hidden pocket
of his clothes.
"Are you on the verge of
heat?"
He Zhou reached out and tapped the
suppression ring on Ji Yu’s neck, "It's a normal value."
Ji Yu asked: "Is it really normal?"
If it's normal, why on Earth would he
start ‘yearning’ for the body of his good brother?
Ji Yu shook his head, pulled off the
cap of the inhibitor, exposing the thin needle inside.
"My mind is getting fuzzy, it's
safer just to inject it."

Lyrus: Oh no, it's starting, Ji Yu is catching a case of "badump"
