I Found Myself Pregnant After Becoming An Omega 39
Chapter 39: Irritation
After injecting the inhibitor, Ji Yu
felt much more comfortable.
He shook his head, took a deep breath,
and sighed, "I'm fine."
He Zhou leaned against the back of his
seat, with a look of searching in his dark eyes.
Inhibitor can only suppress the physical
reaction of the body, but it cannot refresh the mind nor cure dizziness, so what
exactly is “fine?”
He couldn't help but glanced at Ji Yu
up and down, "I saw you touching the back of your neck. Why? Did it not
heal well?"
Ji Yu shook her head: "No, it’s
been recovering well, and even the scabs have fallen off."
What Ji Yu didn’t mention was the fact
that the temperature of the gland after the scab has fallen off is higher than
that of the surrounding skin. It is always hot to the touch, and sometimes even
gives Ji Yu the illusion that he has a fever.
Thinking about it, Ji Yu decided to go
back to the hospital for a follow-up exam in two days.
Putting away the used inhibitor, Ji Yu
glanced at the time, "It's still early, let's go to the shopping mall first.
I need to buy a gift to visit your house."
He Zhou said: "No need, just say
that we bumped into each other on the road."
"There must be proper etiquette,
and your father also helped to take care of Xiao Yu. I have to thank him."
As he said that, Ji Yu looked at He
Zhou as if thinking of something, "Thank you too."
He bent his eyes slightly, smiled and
raised his chin at He Zhou, "If you need something later, just say it, and
I’ll take care of it. Don't be polite to me."
He Zhou looked at
him sideways and raised his eyebrows: "Okay."
He didn't refuse,
and directly accepted Ji Yu's kindness.
Ji Yu turned his
head in satisfaction, took out his phone, and expressionlessly turn all
notifications to mute.
At noon, the sun
hangs high, and its scorching light covers the earth.
The car that was
about to reach He Mansion turned around and drove towards the business district
instead.
After some time, the
car finally came back, brimming with gifts.
The two got out
of the car.
The guard standing at the door took
the initiative to help carry things in.
Ji Yu looked up at the building in
front of him, and couldn't help admiring: "This manor is really
nice."
He subconsciously called it a “manor,”
and not a house or a villa, because the building had a charming old-world
style, sort of like those palaces of old seen on TV.
The outside of the manor had white stone
walls and black tiles, as well as a lavishly decorated roof with cornices and
curved corners.
Outside the front gate sat two stone
lions, which added to the grandeur and magnificent look.
Walking in, there is a wide road paved
with green bricks. There are ponds on both sides of the road with crystal clear
water. Sparkling pebbles can be seen at the bottom of the pond, surrounded by
carps of various colors, all dancing through the water.
The building itself, although built in
an old-fashioned style, does not feel dilapidated or worn down, but is actually
very well maintained. At a close distance, one can even see the glossy coating
on the wooden beams and window frames, and smells the unique light aroma of
scented wood.
Ji Yu looked around and two words came
to mind, “heritage” and “merits.”
It seems that He Zhou's background is
much stronger than he imagined. After all, there are countless mansions and
villas these days, but it is rare to see this kind of house where the a sense
of principle and accomplishment can be seen at a glance.
He looked up and found that there was
a plaque hanging on the door, so he couldn't help asking: "This house must
be quite old, right?"
He Zhou came
over: "Well, it has been three or four hundred years, and it has been
renovated and expanded many times."
Ji Yu nodded,
then sighed again: "Amazing."
He followed
behind He Zhou, looking at this and that, feeling that everything was novel.
In the end, Ji Yu
still remembers what he was here for, "Shall I go and say hello to Uncle
He first?"
Speaking of
Father He, Ji Yu was a bit nervous.
Ji Yu understands very well that due
to the original Ji Yu’s situation, his presence here could be consider a
humiliation to the He family. After all, the original Ji Yu had supposedly
cuckolded their son.
It was best if Ji Yu didn’t have to
meet old Father He, but since he is already here, no matter how embarrassing it
was, he still had to be courteous.
He Zhou loosened his tie, and said in
a nonchalant tone, "You don't need to say anything special. Just a nod and
a simple greeting is enough. My dad doesn't care about things like etiquette,
so you don't have to feel restrained."
As he spoke, He Zhou frowned slightly,
and simply tore off his tie and stuffed it into his pocket, "Come, I'll
take you directly to our stable."
"Ok."
Since He Zhou had said so, Ji Yu
didn't need to say any more.
Under the scorching sun, the two
arrived at the stable without any hindrance.
During this period, Ji Yu's expression
kept changing as if he had discovered a new world. He knew that He Zhou's house
was big, but he didn't expect it to be so big.
After walking across a small bridge arching
over a flowing stream, Ji Yu saw pavilions, towers, and gazebos strewn about.
The road under his feet seemed to contain infinite possibilities, impossible to
reach the end.
After walking for a while, He Zhou
finally stopped.
He turned slightly towards Ji Yu, and
pointed to the building not far away.
"We're here, it’s over
there!"
When He Zhou spoke, the corners of his
mouth were raised, and there seemed to be light in his deep black eyes.
Proud and eager.
After all, what man doesn't love
horses?
Ji Yu likes them, and He Zhou likes them
too.
Ever since he was a young child, He
Zhou had been trained to ride horses by his father. From being led around on a
small pony, to expertly commanding a battle horse, He Zhou had grew up into a
master rider.
He Zhou could still remembered the
first time he raced with his father.
The reins were clenched tightly in his
hands.
The howling wind brushing his cheeks.
The heart that wants to soar and
conquer…
It was that
moment that He Zhou realizes how much he loves the feeling being in complete
control.
While He Zhou was
reminiscing, Ji Yu was also extremely excited. He had been looking forward to
riding a horse, ever since He Zhou mentioned about his family’s stable.
The two soon came
to the stable, and after one look, and Ji Yu couldn’t help but gasp.
The stable was
extremely huge.
Although the
horses inside are tethered, there is a lot of room for free movement. The
ground is covered with hay.
In addition to
adult horses with beautiful fur, Ji Yu also saw several little ponies. The
ponies were moving their legs, shaking their heads and bumping into each other,
as if they are playing a game.
Ji Yu was even more impressed,
thinking that this place is simply a paradise on earth.
He Zhou had a panoramic view of Ji
Yu's reaction, and the corners of his lips couldn't help but become higher.
He crossed his arms around his chest
and led Ji Yu inside, introducing the origins of these horses as he walked.
"This horse is called Lightning.
It has a very strong temperament and only listens to my father. This other one
is my favorite, it’s a battle horse called Wind Chaser."
Ji Yu suddenly looked up: "Can I
touch them?"
He Zhou shrugged: "Of
course."
As he spoke, he raised his chin
towards the group of horses and motioned, "Choose one and give it a
ride?"
Ji Yu’s smile couldn’t be hid at all,
"Then I have to choose carefully."
He Zhou looked at Ji Yu’s body:
"Can you ride a horse?"
Ji Yu nodded immediately: "Of
course!"
He Zhou was still staring at Ji Yu, when
he suddenly went up and grabbed Ji Yu’s hand.
Ji Yu was taken aback, and
subconsciously tried to withdrew his hand: "What are you doing?"
He Zhou's expression was calm, but he
exerted a little force and prevented Ji Yu from breaking free: "Let me see
your hand."
"Huh?" Ji Yu was a little
confused, but didn't struggle.
He lowered his head and looked at where
their hands connected.
He Zhou's hands were big and powerful,
with well-defined joints, and his fingers easily wrapped around Ji Yu’s palm.
Slightly rough fingers rubbed against the
clean, soft palm flesh, causing a slight itch.
Ji Yu felt uncomfortable and wanted to
ball his hand up, but seeing that He Zhou's expression didn't, he had no choice
but to resist the itch and continue to held out his palm.
Ji Yu couldn't help but urghed:
"What are you looking at?"
He Zhou lifted his eyes, landing on
the young man’s red earlobe.
His heart moved, and the smile in his
eyes became even bigger.
"The skin on your hands is too
thin and there are no calluses. You need to wear thicker gloves later."
“Oh.” Ji Yu’s expression became
obedient immediately, and he let He Zhou knead his palm: "That makes
sense."
He Zhou pinched the soft palm again
with no change in his expression.
"I'll choose a horse for you. Some
horses are too hot-tempered and hard to control. It’s your first time here, and
you just had surgery, so we better pick one that’s gentle."
Ji Yu was startled, and the corners of
his mouth suddenly drooped a little.
He knew that He Zhou's words were considered
euphemistic..
His current body was indeed too weak, without
many muscles. It was really difficult to hold onto the reins tightly and
control the horse, which can be bumpy.
Although he was a bit disappointed, Ji
Yu was also aware of his own conditions. He dare not mess around, so he nodded
and was about to agree, but at this moment, his gaze suddenly met a pair of big
wet eyes.
He looked up and found that it was a
red horse which was looking at him, and snorted when it saw him looking over.
Ji Yu blinked, and suddenly had an
idea.
He reached out and pointed at the red
horse: "How about that one?"
He Zhou looked
over and couldn't help laughing: "That’s a good choice. It's called Braver.
It has the best temper in this group of horses. It is also a hard-working horse
and can run very well."
Of course, the
most important point is that it’s Wind Chaser’s wife.
But He Zhou
didn't say that.
Ji Yu raised his
eyebrows proudly: "Then this is the so-called fate."
He immediately
started walking towards Braver.
He Zhou smiled
and also began walking forward.
He looked at Ji
Yu's back, and said with a trace of seriousness in his tone, "Yes,
fate."
Soon, both of
them chose their horses and led them onto the race course.
At this time, the
sun was slightly lower, and the wind gradually became stronger, taking away
part of the heat.
Ji Yu touched Braver’s face: "Let’s
soar!"
Braver raised its head fiercely, and
responded with a snort.
Ji Yu grabbed the saddle with a smile,
kicked his feet, and stepped on the horse's back skillfully.
He held the reins and looked down at
He Zhou, his eyes were brightly provocative: "Fastest one to complete a
lap?"
He Zhou raised his head: "Ok, but
what’s the prize?"
Ji Yu laughed: "What do you
want?"
"How about the loser agreeing to
any condition?"
Ji Yu sighed: "This again?"
He Zhou raised
his eyebrows: "You don’t dare?"
Ji Yu snorted
lightly: "I will accompany you to the end!"
After finished
speaking, he tightened his grip on the reins, and said with high spirits,
"I'll go around first to warm up."
Without waiting
for He Zhou's answer, Ji Yu tapped the horse's belly in a standard manner, and rushed
out against the wind.
The horse's hoofs
are churning, and its long mane flew majestically in the breeze.
Riding against
the wind, Ji Yu felt a coolness filling up his entire body, scattering the
midday heat.
The corners of
his mouth lifted more and more, and Ji Yu puffed out his chest and let out a
loud cry with all his strength.
The turbid air in
his chest seemed to be completely dissipated along the shout, leaving only
comfort in his body.
It feels good.
Really good.
Ji Yu hasn't felt this kind of
pleasure for a long time. He had always felt that there is a mountain of many
things waiting for him to do, constantly pressing him down. It’s truly great to
take some time to relax just for a while.
There were sound of hoofs rattling in his
ears.
Ji Yu turned his head and saw a
handsome face.
He Zhou had rolled up his sleeves, and
the muscles on his forearms, tensed from gripping the reins, had bulged in a
beautiful arc.
The button of the shirt is also half
open, and the strong chest muscles are very eye-catching. Instead of his usual
blank expression, his mouth contains a grin reaching his eyes, and his chin was
raised provocatively at Ji Yu.
Ji Yu also laughed and pointed not far
away: "How about we start the game over there?"
He Zhou replied: "Ok."
---
The sweat of the two men were quickly
dried by the wind.
No matter how bright the sun is, they
can't feel the heat on their bodies.
Horse hoofs clattered, and the field
was filled with the smell of wind and grass.
Clothes fluttered, and the expressions
of the two were nothing but excitement.
Somewhere on the edge of the race
course, two people were watching them from a distance.
One of them said: "My brother really
likes him."
The other person put his hands behind
his back, didn't make a sound, but his lips curled down betraying his emotions.
He Jiao bit her lip, and looked at the
two people riding side by side in the distance: "Besides, I always feel
that—"
She paused and didn't continue.
He Xiong frowned:
"What?"
"I feel that...
Xiao Yu looks like brother."
He Xiong's face
remained calm, but the hands behind his back were clenched tightly: "Do
you even know what you're saying?"
He Jiao didn't
say answer, and continue looking before asking, "Dad, don't you think
so?"
She thought
silently in her heart, if she didn't feel it, why would she suddenly look
through her brother's childhood photo album?
He Xiong didn't
speak, he looked at the two people in the distance with deep eyes, turned and
left without saying a word.
He Jiao glanced
sideways at him and followed quickly.
Ji Yu didn't notice the two visitors,
and when he finally looked over, he only saw two retreating figures.
He has never met He Xiong, but he
knows He Jiao. Seeing the middle-age man walking beside He Jiao, Ji Yu could easily
guessed the man’s identity.
Ji Yu’s high spirit suddenly waned, and
he pulled at the reins, coming to a stop.
He Zhou noticed Ji Yu’s action, sighed,
and also stopped his horse.
He controlled the horse to turn around
and came to Ji Yu's side: "What's wrong?"
Ji Yu raised his chin in the direction
where He Xiong left: "Your father and sister came just now. They should
have seen us."
He Zhou took a glance, "It's
okay."
Then he looked sideways at Ji Yu,
"Do you want to continue?"
Ji Yu lowered his eyes and thought for
a moment, then shook his head: "No, since I already saw Uncle He, I might
as well go and greet him."
With that, Ji Yu turned over and
dismounted.
All of a sudden, the heat swept
through my body again, and sweat dripped out.
His summer clothes were thin and
instantly soaked with sweat, and his hair became wet and stuck to his face.
Ji Yu pinched his collar and sniffed,
before wrinkled his nose in disgust.
He Zhou saw this scene, dismounted and
said, "Go and take a bath?"
"I don't have a change of clothes."
"You can borrow my clothes."
It's hard to in his current state, so Ji Yu agreed:
"Okay."
The two took the horse back to the stable, and then He Zhou took
Ji Yu back to the house.
Along the way, they didn't meet He
Xiong or He Jiao.
Walking to the bedroom on the second
floor, He Zhou opened the door and turned sideways to let Ji Yu in.
He pointed to the bathroom: "The
bathroom is over there. You wash up first, and I'll find some clothes for
you."
"Okay."
Ji Yu only glanced around the room
briefly before taking the towel and entering the bathroom.
Ji Yu was never one to hesitate, and
quickly took off his clothes. After taking off his clothes, he shook his hands
and realized that his palms were red and swollen. When he bent down, he saw
that the inside of his thighs were also slightly red from being rubbed by the
saddle. Fortunately, there was no bleeding.
"Ji Yu." He Zhou suddenly
spoke outside the bathroom door.
Ji Yu raised his head:
"Huh?"
"I put the clothes on the stool by the door."
"Got it."
Ji Yu didn’t immediately turn on the water.
He touched the position of his heart and felt that it was still
beating a little fast. The glands on the back of his neck were also a little
warm to the touch.
It’s really not suitable to take a shower right after exercising,
so Ji Yu decided to wait and cool down.
He walked to the bathtub and sat down. The cold temperature of the
bathtub penetrated into his skin, instantly allowing him take a long breath of
comfort.
However, despite waiting a while, the palpitation in his heart
didn't disappear.
Thinking that He Zhou was still waiting to take a bath outside, Ji
Yu pursed his lips, lowered his eyes and glanced at his lower body. Then he
walked to the shower as if he had made some decision, and turned on the shower.
Warm water poured over his head.
Ji Yu raised his head, opened his
mouth slightly, and combed his wet black hair back, revealing his smooth
forehead.
He frowned and made a low hum in his
throat.
He suddenly gritted his teeth and
closed his eyes, then opened them again after a moment.
He reached under the shower head to
rinse, but Ji Yu's brows still couldn't relax, and instead looked even more
distressed.
The discomfort in Ji Yu’s body has
turned into a certain type of irritation.
It seems that this kind of irritation
cannot be relieved through the front, but through...
Ji Yu blinked, his face becoming a
little weird.
After hesitating for a while, he
reached hesitantly reaches his hand back and touch in between his buttocks.
The moment his fingers touched a certain
place, Ji Yu’s expression crumpled and his hand retracted at lightning speed.
Ji Yu slowly raised his hand to his
eyes with a complicated expression. He rubbed his fingertips first, then slowly
opened his fingers, before closing them again.
As the fingers open and close, a layer
of transparent and sticky liquid was dripping down from them.
"What is this..."

Historical Notes:
He Zhou’s horse is actually referred
to as Ferghana Horse (大宛馬), or “Heavenly Horse.”
During the Han Dynasty (113 BCE),
Emperor Wu of Han obtained a prophecy that he would find “divine horses” from
the west. About ten years later, Emperor Wu received a report from his envoy
that a country far in the west called Ferghana (Dayuan) had managed to raise a
breed of battle horses far superior and powerful than any horses ever seen.
Unfortunately, Ferghana refuses to
trade away their prized horse breed, and soon conflict emerged.
In the end, Emperor Wu invaded Ferghana,
defeated the Dayuan army, and turned it into a vassal state. From then on,
Ferghana had to send thousands of horses a year to Han Dynasty as tribute.
Apparently, these horses “sweat
blood.” Modern scientists believed that it has something to do with a parasite
found underneath the horse’s skin, which mixes blood with the horse’s actual
sweat. However, ancient people thought it was a sign of divine blessing, thus
they named it “Heavenly Horse.”

Thank u i really appreciate it. I can't express how grateful I am
ReplyDeleteUgh I honestly hope they won't get together yet. After all HeZhou left his wife and child alone for years with no care he really need to suffer for at least another 50-100 chapters and work a bit harder all he does is flex his muscles. When will a second male lead be introduced 😩
ReplyDeleteTbh I'm not mad at the ML. Most people who find out through a DNA test that a baby isn't theirs wouldn't question the DNA test and most people wouldn't raise the baby of a stranger they had a one night stand with.
DeleteThis has been a really fun read! And the notes are both funny and educational. Thanks so much for your hard work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update!
